According to a study by Airmid Health Group, an independent biomedical research group, effectively cleaned carpets trap pollutants and other particles where they'll remain until the rug is cleaned again. Designed and evaluated by Dr. Bruce Mitchell, practicing allergy and immunology physician and Airmid Chairman/CEO, the study was broken into two parts, examining the rug before and after cleaning.
It found that, even before it was cleaned, levels of allergens, including cat and dust mite allergens, were lower in the air over all other types of flooring, even when they were disturbed by the simplest activities like walking or bouncing a ball.
